Our first trip abroad
November 18
Packing, Parking, & DTW to FCO
Parked at Qwik Park and took their shuttle to DTW.
Our flight started boarding at 16:15 and departed around 17:30.
For dinner, Delta served us Spinach & Ricotta Lasagna, Buttered Chicken & Rice, some sort of Chickpea, Tomato & Cucumber salad, Rosemary bread, and a soft Lemon Biscuit. Joey and I may have had a few shots (it was free!).
Just before landing, we were served Chobani yogurt and some sort of breakfast calzone (sausage or vegetarian).
Both mobile devices were very low on battery and we didn't bring a power bank, so no photos.
November 19
FCO to PMO
We landed around 07:30 and roamed FCO before our flight to PMO. There were a ridiculous amount of name brand stores and the duty free shop was crazy massive!
Our food journey in Italy started with a lightly toasted Spaccata Mortadella.
Boarding ITA Airways to PMO started around 12:50 but there were quite a few delays so we didn't take off until closer to 14:00.
When we arrived in Palermo around 15:30, we were met out front by our driver. Driving over there is insane! One lane is really two or three lanes, merging is more like a game of chicken, and vehicles have absolutely zero personal space.
We stayed at Sant'Agostino B&B.
After charging our phones, we decided to go for a quick stroll and grab some grub at Doba Restaurant and Terrace.
